Fourteen hardy birders joined us today in the windy and cold conditions for
the monthly Saturday morning birdwalk at Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve in
Loudoun County. Highlight of the trip was the female COMMON GOLDENEYE that
flew in and landed on the Springhouse Pond affording all an excellent look.
We had one immature Red headed Woodpecker at the Beaver pond, 4 Wild Turkeys
along the Goose Creek and 1 Purple Finch also.
