Thought you would be int'd in a report by Jim Cutts, with excellent photos,
that came into the ANS Voice of a BAR-HEADED GOOSE at Lake Fairfax Park in
Fairfax Co. While the bird is almost definitely an escaped bird (note the rear
clipped toes), we thought people would be int'd in the rpt.
Jim Cutts, who sent in the rpt & photos, writes: "I saw a Bar-headed Goose
Saturday, August 23rd 2009, 10:30 am near the
entrance of Lake Fairfax Park, Reston Virginia (Fairfax County). Then again
Wednesday, September 30th, 11:00 a.m. same park, first in the
lake, then along the shore. This time I got pictures (attached)!"
