I spent a few hours birding between Kelso Mill & Bedford (City) this morning.
It was mostly sunny, about 40 degrees and very windy. I'm sure the temperature
rose later in the morning but it didn't feel like it with the wind. The best
bird I found was a single Loggerhead Shrike. A pair nested in the area last
spring however, I could only find one bird this morning. Otherwise, nothing
unusual was seen. Complete list from Virginia eBird follows.
