Belvoir Pond (Bowman's Pond in Google Maps) on Belvoir Road near Marshall off
Rt 17 is nearly dry but a few deep pools remain at the end nearest the road.
The number of shorebirds has increased (or maybe it's because they've all moved
closer to Belvoir Road). At noon today (5/14) I saw a flock of 22 Least
Sandpiper. There are at least 6 Semipalmated Plovers. A few Lesser Yellowlegs
and Solitary Sandpipers remain. There are six or more Spotted Sandpipers.
