Spent a few hours sitting behind a shrub at Bethel beach just to see what
would come along. Not much there. The always entertaining Semi Palm Plovers
pulling worms:) Lots of mixed Terns/Gulls, some Sanderlings and one scruffy
looking Black bellied Plover as well as a few Osprey.
Walking back along the beach to the car, we saw 2 large-ish shorebirds. At
first I thought they were Yellowlegs, but no head bobbing going on. Not
Willets.They weren't skittish.. very busy eating.
I'm thinking Short billed Dowitcher?
