Notes:
A BIG DAY for the hill, with a new yard bird in the white-eyed vireo.
I will admit that I become confused with the first parts of that vireo
song and the first parts of the scarlet tanager's. But, I paid
attention both in the morning and the afternoon, and feel confident
that I heard those different birds. Storm a brewing this evening, and
I note that birds sometimes sing more under the pressure of an
oncoming weather change. Hummer numbers are very low, as has been the
observation of other bird watching types. Jury's out on this one.
