Everyone is welcome at 8 am on Sat., March. 22, for the Loudoun Wildlife
Conservancy's free monthly bird walk at the Blue Ridge Center for Environmental
Stewardship (BRCES), a future state park, in the northwestern corner of Loudoun
County near Harpers Ferry. The group will meet in the parking lot between the
Education Center and the organic farm. This month we will probably visit the
southern section of the Blue Ridge Center as it has been closed for some time
due to Dominion Power work on the powerline.
The entrance to BRCES is on the west side of Harper's Ferry Rd, Rte 671, about
a 1/4 mile north of the Neersville Fire Station and about 5.5 miles north of
the intersection of Rte 9 & Rte 671 and about 2 miles south of the intersection
of Rte 340 & Rte 671.
We hold the walk regardless of the weather unless it is dangerous but don't
expect a lot of participants if the weather is lousy.
