Greetings to all:
With Christmas and the Christmas Bird Counts just around the corner, if you
haven't told Santa what to get you yet, may I suggest the following:
The 5th Edition of the National Geographic Field Guide to Birds of North
America that was just release. I purchase my latest copy just the other
week. It has thumtabs for easy access and it is a little bit wider than the
4th edition.
For all of you that loves owls may I suggest the CD set of Voices of North
American Owls that not only has just the mating calls but all sort of calls
from juveniles begging for food to distress and alarm calls. This is a MUST
for all OWL lovers.
Each can be ordered from the ABA bookstore or from the Wildbirds Unlimited
Store at Sapsucker Woods at Cornell Lab. You may even purchase the book at
your local book store.
