Greetings to all:
I had a couple of hours this morning before doing my shopping at Food Lion
and made a quick trip to the new Cotton Mill Park - Berry Hill Plantation
Trail that is part of the Tobacco Heritage Trail. Today I only explored the
trail from the BH Plantation trail head to its western end.
The Plantation is only 4 miles from the intersection of Edmund St and 501N
Bypass. Once you reach the plantation as stated before follow the road to
the Left of the main building to its end and then follow the gravel track
through the fields and woods to the trail. It is almost 2 miles from the
entrance of the plantation to the trail head. The road is good enough to
drive a car on. They don't have any signs up on this end of the trail but
will be putting them up.
Saw a several birds including Wild Turkeys. A complete list can be seen at

Didn't get any pictures of birds but did manage to take some of the flowers,
