Surprised by the lack of rain, I went out for a bit yesterday morning near
the river. Other than a BLACKPOLL WARBLER, I missed on migrants, but I did
find some resident warblers with the highlight being a PROTHONOTARY WARBLER
singing.
Afterward, I went by Redgate Rd to look for the BOBOLINKS reported by the
Littles a few days ago (thanks) and found a singing male after a brief
search. In addition, about a mile before the Bobolink location a BLUE
GROSBEAK was sitting in the middle of Redgate Rd and then obligingly landed
on a plant at eye level just off the roads edge.
