During the bird walk this morning at Weyanoke Sanctuary, a Black-and-white
Warbler was seen, first near the platform by the creek, in the company of
Golden-crowned Kinglets. Later the warbler was seen near the main trail, closed
to the center of the property. It appeared to be a young male, due to lack of
buff on the flanks and presence of strong, dark streaking on the sides that
extended to the chest.
