For the past 11 days (since September 16), we have seen Black-throated
Blue Warblers visiting our feeders. They seem to prefer shelled
sunflower seeds, but will occasionally drink from the hummingbird feeders
(sort of jam the beak under the bee-guards to drink). On September 16,
we saw a male and a female, and on three other days had two males on the
feeder at the same time. They visit the feeders off and on throughout
the entire day. Yesterday afternoon, a Rose-breasted Grosbeak joined one
of the Black-throated Blue Warblers, and the two of them ate shelled
sunflower seeds most of the afternoon.
