Greetings all,
I observed 2 seasonal firsts this week.  On Monday i heard my first 2
black-throated green warblers of the year in Rock Castle gorge along the
Blue Ridge parkway and upon walking out of the Chinese restaurant in
Blacksburg yesterday afternoon i spotted my first chimney swift of the year
flying over the town library.
Tulip poplars and red maple leaf buds are finally breaking now too!

Best birding,
        George
