Nice weather had birds active and singing. We saw 37 species with
highlights of American Bittern (saw one flying and heard two calling to
each other), 4 Wood Ducks, 2 Pied-billed Grebes, a single Coot, courting
Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers, Brown Creeper, two Yellow-rumpled Warblers, both
Rough-winged and Tree Swallows, Kingfishers, 3 Common Mergansers in Broad
Run, and a Barred Owl.
