Greeting to all:
On the way to work this morning I made a quick check of Hackberry Road in
Halifax Co. looking for Bobolinks. This is about a guaranteed place to find
them from late April to early May.
I parked at Hackberry Church and was able to find at least 3 males and maybe 3
females. The females were to far away to tell for sure they could have been
female RW Blackbirds. But there is no way to mistake the males.
Hackberry Road is the last paved road to the right off of Hwy 58w in Halifax
Co. It is good for Blue Grosbeaks, Grasshopper Sparrows, Eastern Meadowlarks
and Barn Swallows.
