Phil Kenny and I spent a few hours birding Bristow, Manassas Airport
and the Manassas Battlefield Park this morning. We had hopes of
possible "grasspipers", but with the dry conditions and relatively few
fields with disturbed earth, we dipped on all but Killdeer. The full
list is below, consolidated across the various spots we stopped at.
Not in the list was a random roadside Red-tail. Walking Brawner Farm
at MNBP, we came across the remains (feathers only) of a Barn Owl on
the path.
