But alas, the booby was a no-show today, from about 8 am (first arrivals; we
arrived at 11:30) through 5:15 or so (last people leaving). The "other gull"
of the day was Herring Gull, perhaps 2 first calendar year birds. Two ravens
soared around; 35+/- vultures were seen together, a Common Loon called during
its short time on the lake's surface, and it eventually became partly sunny.
