Out for a long stroll Sunday morning. Very crowded. Great Eastern Bluebird,
Tree Swallows, and had a great long look at Common Raven, best look I've had.
A question for the group: At the South end of the lake, along the dam, I saw
what looked like a Common Merganser, vocalizing quite a bit. Sounded like a
high-pitched peet or squeal, not the frog-like croaks I associate with
Mergansers. Did anybody see this bird, and help confirm or correct my call?
Thanks! Great day for birding, with the occassional stop for a few geocaches.
