I visited CBBT Island 1 earlier this month (January 12) as part of a visit
to the Eastern Shore, and also noted quite a few BRANT feeding on the rocks.
I also saw several PURPLE SANDPIPERS. It was a very foggy day so the only
birds I can see were close in. I failed to see RED-BREASTED MERGANSERS
anywhere.
