In the course of my duties in the Bay Creek development in Cape Charles
today I had a better than average bird day. Highlights include 13
AMERICAN OYSTERCATCHERS, a PEREGRINE and, near sundown, an AMERICAN
BITTERN. I was tipped off to the bittern's presence by one of our
residents, Ron Wrucke, who, when he isn't beating all comers on the golf
course, is taking killer photographs of our local wildlife. Thanks, Ron.
