There was a male CAPE MAY WARBLER about half-way up the trail at Stoney Creek
Park near Nellysford, VA this morning. He was in no hurry and gave good long
looks, showing off all the field marks.
The Cape May was on his own, but there were plenty of other birds in foraging
groups: Hairy Woodpecker, Pileated, Black-Throated Blue, Black-Throated Green,
Maggies, and immature Chestnut-Sided Warbler, among other more-common species.
