The Central Loudoun CBC, scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 28, and sponsored by the
Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy (LWC), could use your help. The count welcomes
both exp'd and beginning birders, including kids, and you can bird the entire
day or just a part. Last year we were fortunate enough to even field a youth
team and would be thrilled to field even more youth teams this year.
The Central Loudoun CBC covers Loudoun County from the western edge of Ashburn
to just east of Round Hill and runs from Waterford in the north to a little
north of Aldie in the south. Some of it is pretty suburban while other parts
are still relatively rural. In addition to several natural areas we are
fortunate to get permission to visit several large estates. Some of the
sectors are covered by lots of walking while others are done by mostly driving.
While we usually hold a Tally Rally at the end of the day we aren't sure we
will be this year. If we do all participants are welcome.
You can see our circle at www.loudounwildlife.org/CBC.htm, access the results
of our previous counts from that URL, and sign up from there if you prefer.
LWC pays the $5 Nat'l Audubon fee for anyone who is a member of LWC.
