Dear All
By means of update I have not relocated the Black-headed Gull despite a fairly
thorough search yesterday afternoon and this morning around the shore of
Chincoteague Bay. The gulls are generally very scattered and I have seen a few
Bonaparte's Gulls but have found no obvious concentration of birds or
especially good spot to focus upon. For those who want to look I would suggest
just cruising Main Street on the island checking the small parties of gulls,
esp Ringers, both north and south of Maddox Blvd. The only other things of
note have been a single Marbled Godwit by the - soon to be - old bridge and
Collared Dove and Fox Sparrow in the gardens along Main Street.
Cheers
