I know this is the Virginia bird list, not the Maryland list, but I
saw such an amazing sight today, just want to share it. Two clapper
rails on a small sandy beach on Assawoman Bay in Ocean City with five
very young chicks. The chicks were all huddled together, and then
mom/dad caught sight of me. Mom walked back into the marsh, and
they scrambled after her, just about 20 feet away. Wonderful!
