Hello Birders,
I birded Hog Island, in Surrey Co. for a few hours today ... not alot
on the shorebird front. A few Least, Semi-palmated, Spotted, and
Pectoral Sandpiper, and a few Semi-palmated Plover. 2 Lesser
Yellowlegs also. A good number of Caspian terns (c.65) were present.
The American Coot was still on the first impoundment,

Crossing the James form Scotland to Jamestown 6 adult Black Terns were
seen shortly after leaving Scotland. All appeared to be adults.

At Crewes Channel, Henrico Co. the 5 juv. white Ibis continue to be
present, with nice variety of shorebirds, (all the species seen at
Hog, plus Solitary sand and Greater Yellowlegs). Probably around 50
shorebirds in total. Louisiana Waterthrush too.
