Notes: I birded Craig County today (Tues. 5/27/08) concentrating on the
Fenwick Mines area and Sinking Creek Valley. It was mostly overcast with rain
threatening in the afternoon.

Black Vulture 1
Turkey Vulture 22
Red-shouldered Hawk 1 Fenwick Mines, apparently nest here, present
every year.
Red-tailed Hawk (Eastern) 1 adult feeding on roadkill, Sinking
Creek Valley
Mourning Dove 6
Yellow-billed Cuckoo 2
Red-bellied Woodpecker 2
Northern Flicker 5
Acadian Flycatcher 1
Eastern Phoebe 5
Great Crested Flycatcher 3
Eastern Kingbird 2
Yellow-throated Vireo 2
Blue-headed Vireo 1
Warbling Vireo 2 Both birds in Sinking Creek Valley along the creek,
one at Rt. 630 bridge over Sinking Creek. Only two individuals were located
on the 1979 Craig Co. Foray.
