I briefly visited Craney Island this morning from 0920 -1000. Only checked the
center cell due to newly worked road surface farther north. I wasn't sure if my
vehicle would get stuck. There was a WILSON'S PHALAROPE swimming with LESSER
YELLOWLEGS in the small pool in the center cell. A single BLACK TERN flew by
and a WHIMBREL was on the western shoreline. A group of dowitchers was also in
the center cell, along with other expected and previously reported species. I
believe the dowitchers were SHORT-BILLS based a few I heard calling.Elisa
