I knew I'd forgot something. We also has 2
black-necked stilts at Craney Island and an American
golden plover at Indian River Inlet (Delaware, I
know). We ended up with 140 species for the 3 days,
130 in Virginia, and Tony managed 49 lifers for the
trip (I had 13). We had the makings of a big day on
Friday, but with the slow morning at Dismal Swamp and
being too tired to stay up for owls and goatsuckers,
we ended up with 113. Still, a wonderful way to spend
a 3-day weekend.
