[Va-bird] Dark-eyed Juncos and the return of Northern Mockingbirds to my yard

Yesterday I saw my first 2 Juncos of this winter season in my back yard. I
continue to find that water saucers and a habitat brush pile attract many
birds. Also, in recent months we have had Northern Mockingbirds back in our
yard after an absence of about 20 years. If anyone is interested, I have a
slightly longish blog post up about this, "The Mockingbirds' Legend of
Monsters," at:

http://www.plantwhacker.com/2013/10/the-mockingbirds-legend-of-monsters.html

In short, I believe the Mockingbirds decided we were monsters and avoided
our property, with the "legend" persisting for multiple bird generations
before it finally broke down this year...
