I forgot to put a place down for the Dickcissel's . They are still singing
just north of Rt. 605 & Rt 608 New Hope .

Subject: [Va-bird] Dickcissel's still in Augusta County
Hello all
This morning it was round two of the Rabbit & Quail runs . No Quail but had
4 Juv. Rabbits This trek took me to Newport several miles south of
Middlebrook . While doing the route I encountered many Meadowlark , Red -
winged Blackbird , a couple of Grasshopper Sparrows & one Vesper Sparrow .
After the run was over I stopped by Smith's pond in the Swoope area . Here I
encountered several fledged Barn Swallow & two juv. Spotted Sandpiper . The
Great Egret is still hanging around from the other day. All in all not a bad
morning . Now it is time for yard work .
