James River Park, Ralph White, manager of the 550 acre James River Park

through Richmond, will present a program highlighting the
manyrecreational, birding, and volunteer opportunities there.
Avian Defender Award
After Ralph's program RAS will present the Avian Defender Award tothis
year's recipient.
Community to Community
We are fortunate to have Mary Elfner, Virginia IBA coordinator,
andMatthew Jeffery, manager of NAS International Alliance Programs
speakabout plans for a cooperative program to preserve breeding grounds
ofthe Prothonotary Warbler here in Virginia and wintering grounds
inPanama, Central America.
Location: St. Luke Lutheran Church 7757 Chippenham Parkway, at the
Custis Rd. and Chippenham Parkway intersection. Refreshments are served
