Doris Desper Smith, Hampton.
Doris D. Smith, widow of Walter Smith, died Sat., Jul. 9, 2011. The
family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at R. Hayden
Smith Funeral Home, Armistead Ave., Downtown Hampton. A memorial
service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity United
Methodist Church in Newport News.

Doris was a charter member of Hampton Roads Bird Club and she and
walter were instrumental in starting Kiptopeke Banding Station on
Eastern Shore of Virginia (along with Mike & Dorothy Mitchell &
others).
