I had to go over to Chester for work today, so I swung by Dutch Gap
afterwards. It was near noon and I think this is the first time I have
ever been there and there was NOTHING! Not a duck, goose, or anything
else in the water in front of the platforms. There were red wing black
birds, and a ton of mockingbirds, a few brown thrashers and that was it.
I did spot a female wood duck way out but she ducked into the weeds
quickly and that was it.
Except for the platform areas, everything has grown up and is very tall,
full and green making it difficult to see the water areas.
