About 20 people showed up for the Dyke Marsh walk this morning. Prior
to jumping off I found a yellow-bellied flycatcher and Traill's-type
flycatcher in the picnic area. When we jumped off we found a Tennessee
warbler in the picnic area. Great start for a beautiful day. However,
these were the highlights as we did not find anything else out of the
ordinary the rest of the morning. We were entertained by a nice group
of birds seen in the brush from the marina, which included 4 or 5
juvinile/female orchard orioles, 1 young baltimore oriole, 3 flickers, a
couple of gnatcatchers, 2 catbirds and an eastern kingbird. Two young
barn swallows were being fed by adults on a boat mooring line.
