Three people braved the high winds this morning to participate in the weekly
Friends of Dyke Marsh bird walk. These walks are free and open to all and are
held every week except during the Christmas Bird Count season. We tallied 35
species, which was fairly decent considering the conditions. Highlights
included six Bald Eagles, both Kinglets, a Hermit Thrush, Blackpoll Warblers,
and a Sharp-shinned Hawk.
