I also was able to relocate the Eared Grebe after failing to do so early this
morning when the thousands of ducks and coot.present were much more tightly
packed. It currently is in the near side of the open ice in the right-center of
the concentration of ducks and has had its head resting in its back for most of
the time I watched it. It is the only grebe I have seen here today. The
continuing male Eurasian Wigeon is easier to find but also easy to lose.
