Hello all, After a couple of good days to start the season thanks to north
component winds, today was a bit slower. We did manage to top the 100 bird mark
for the season, bird #100 being in the form of a spiffy male Summer Tanager.
Most of the migrants to date have been warblers, particularly American
Redstarts, with 9
species in all banded, highlighted by Mourning and Worm-eating. But there has
been a good little push of Empidonax flycatchers as well, predominately
Traill's
with one each Acadian, Yellow-bellied and Least tallied. The season summary is
