The Eastern Shore Bird Club meeting on Tuesday May 8th will feature Paul Smith,
speaking on Shorebird Identification. The meeting will begin at 7:30 pm at the
Hermitage located at 23610 North Street; Onancock. Members and non-members are
invited to attend.
Paul Smith, along with his wife Ann, conducted weekly shorebird surveys at
Chincoteague National Wildife Refuge for twenty years. He knows how to identify
shorebirds not only by their field marks, but also by their behavior, habitat,
and calls. Paul and Ann Smith are also founding members of the Eastern Shore
Bird Club.
