Can anyone help with a bird ID? I have seen the bird on the rail of the
deck, and eating suet on the patio. It is about the size of a titmouse, or
slightly larger. I thought it was a Towhee at first, but it is lighter and
the head is not right. There is a little light gray collar between the
rufous on the cheeks and the chest, and the tail feathers in the back have a
bluish cast to them. There is a light white eye ring and a white bib under
the chin, reminiscent of a white throated sparrow. The pictures aren't
great, but I am hopeful somebody can give me an idea about this bird.
