I understand it has been around for a few years. I think of it (or them- could
be a couple) as Paul Glass' Eurasian Collared Dove because I first heard of it
through his post and went and saw it that morning. This morning it was in the
top of a large dead tree on the southwest side of the bridge over the Dan river
on Rt. 501. This would be about a quarter mile or less from where it usually is
behind the Brooks Funeral home.
