Join The Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute, The American Bird
Conservancy and The Piedmont Environmental Council for a Virginia
Working Landscapes presentation of lectures and discussions on the
ecology and conservation of grassland and shrubland birds in this
region.
The program will include lectures by four ornithologists, a landowner
roundtable and a field trip to see a farm with a breeding bobolink
population. Presentations will focus on wildlife & working land
conservation issues. Lunch is included in the $20 registration fee.
The symposium will be held in the SCBI Auditorium in Front Royal, VA
Student Scholarships Available:
College and High School Students can attend the Bird Symposium free,
provided a professor or teacher registers for the event.
