MdOsprey reported an Ivory Gull at Cape May, NJ, on Nov 28. I went to see
it on Tues, Dec 1. There were lots of Maryland birders on hand at the
marina but I recognized no VA birders. It just occurred to me that an alert
might never have been posted to Va-bird.
This handsome first year juvenile bird is being seen regularly at the Bree
Zee Lee marina about a mile down Ocean Drive which is reached from
Lafayette St., just south of where the Garden State Parkway ends. It was
still
being seen yesterday (Thursday) at 4 pm. according to a post on Jerseybirds.
