This should be my last extra-limital post for awhile. Please delete if not
interested in B-W Teal status.
I have corresponded with a couple of Virginia birders during 2014 about the
dearth of Blue-Winged Teal, at least in my No. Va. stomping grounds. But this
week in Florida, I found them everywhere. In covering about a dozen wetlands
areas on both coasts of Florida, we found multiple BWTE, usually in M-F pairs,
in a good 8-9 of them.
I just wanted to reassure anyone who commiserated with me, about how few we
seem to see at home. Thanks.
