After a less than rewarding hour and a half of birding at Cool Spring Preserve
in Jefferson Co,. WV this morning, Bill Parkin and I stopped by Blandy Farm.
Just east of the horse paddock at the sharp turn in the road there are several
large brush piles at the edge of the woods. There we found sparrows galore,
including White-throated, White-crowned, Field, Song, Juncos, and a lone Fox
Sparrow. We also added Chipping Sparrows at the fenced enclosure adjacent to
the paddock.
