Here are the preliminary results for the Augusta County CBC, held this
past Sunday. We had 18 participants in 7 field parties, plus 1 feeder
observer. The usual species were tallied and the total number is about
average. We did have few surprises including one blue morph Snow Goose,
1 Red-shouldered Hawk, 4 owl species, 7 Swamp Sparrows (good winter
birds in the valley), Marsh Wren (2nd for this CBC) and Common
Yellowthroat (1st for this count). Thanks to the following for making
