This morning the black walnut trees facing our porch resembled Penn Station the
day before Thansgiving.  So many out-of-towners in addition to the locals --
all starving hungry, all very excited, and all in a huge hurry.  Impossible to
keep track of them all, especially with early fog.

The highlights included two red-eyed vireos, one yellow-throated vireo, two
prairie warblers, an immature or female Blackburnian warbler, a least
flycatcher, a brown thrasher, two flickers (yellow-shafted), two red-bellied
woodpeckers, and a surprise crash landing on the pond of three wood ducks (FOS).

Also numerous goldfinches, bluebirds, chipping sparrows, cardinals, bluejays,
and pewees.

Then quiet.
