I framed my weekend with visits to Huntley Meadows Park, spending an
hour there Saturday morning and much of three hours late Sunday
afternoon.
Sat, 21 Jan. 0655 to 0805; mostly viewing main pond from Tower and
boardwalk platform; 9 to 10 C, mostly clear to partly cloudy; S 10-15
km/hr; sunrise c 0720;
Sun, 22 Jan. 1510 to 1750 EST; mostly viewing main pond from Tower and
boardwalk platform; 8 to 5 C, complete overcast; NW 20 to 25 km/hr;
sunset 1715; stayed long enough to watch most waterfowl move out of the
vegetation within and East of the boardwalk loop; some took to the air,
some swam out into the main pond
