We did Bull Run Regional Park for the Fairfax County count yesterday May 3.
We birded from 0615-1335, walking about 7 1/2 miles from the park entrance
downstream along Bull Run to Route 28 and then returning. We tried for
Whip-poor-wills from 2130-2200 but with no luck.
Highlights were good numbers of Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Red-eyed Vireos and
American Goldfinches, and 11 warblers including Magnolia and both
Waterthrushes
