Birders,
Althought Featherstone NWR is closed i sometime go to the edge and peer in from
the north edge. It's very hit or miss. It was birdy today. A pair of
Red-should hawks were being chased by a gang of Am. crows. Also there were at
least
3 No. Flickers and
1 Y-R Warbler
along with Mock'bird, Cardinals, Sng Saparrow, WT Sparrow, Downy WP, C Wren,
M Dove, and duck sp. way out on the river.
There was also a first year(?) Bald Eagle(very little white) who seemed to be
enjoying itself. It would fly along sweep up and hover for a coulpe flaps
then fly a ways more and repeat.
I also when over to Vet's Park and saw a Sapsucker before i was destracted and
had to return to work.
