After lamenting earlier today the continued absence of Wood Thrush at my
stomping grounds, tonight we heard at least two of them as we walked in our
neighborhood on the fringe of Glencarlyn Park. Spring just doesn't seem
complete without that song haunting the woods.
Also, still have heard no more White-throated Sparrows since Friday evening. Up
through then they had been very evident and had been singing quite a bit. So
I'm thinking they've vacated my local patch.
